In July and August 2024, I lead the design team made the main visuals and motion graphic designs for the
Goldsmiths Computational art degree show!
During that time I am very busy, with all kinds of things going on. The future is still uncertain, and I
am
under a lot of pressure. My mental state is not very stable. Now I am working on my graduation project,
a
lot of exhibitions, looking for a job without any expectations, and spending as much time as possible
with
my friends to heal myself.
Fortunately, I can still make something for everyone. This time I led the design team of our degree
show.
Thanks to all team members, we looked for references and ideas together, and finally combined everyone's
ideas as much as possible to create the current visual.
In general, after making this set of motion graphics, I find AfterEffect is fun, and I am a little more
confident than before.
We have drawn up 6 pathway categories, represented by different colors and shapes. At the same time, we
use
refreshing colors, creative coding and typography, hoping to show the cuteness, richness and vitality of
a
group of artists who code.
I also participated in the exhibition as one of the artists.

The 2024 Goldsmiths MA/MFA Computational Arts degree show features over 90 artists exploring live
performances, interactive installations, AR/VR, web art, sound and video.
Embracing a decentralized ethos, this exhibition challenges traditional hierarchies through distributed
authorship and open dialogue. The result is a fluid tapestry of computational creativity, weaved by six
chromatic paths, throughout the exhibition.
Purple: Memory, Time, and Subconscious Exploration
Yellow: Digital Archives and Cultural Artifacts
Light Blue: Patterns and More than Human Intelligence
Blue: Mapping, Worldbuilding and Reclaiming Histories
Pink: Identity and the (In)computable Self
Green: Live Performances and Immersive Experiences
The church’s layered architecture serves as both metaphor and canvas, expanding the exhibition beyond
physical confines. This open-ended approach mirrors computational art‘s nature—always in flux, resisting
finality, and constantly negotiating technological engagement.

We use stickers with different shape to classify everyone's works.
